A free baby log for the whole family
When did the baby last feed?
Little Log answers that at a glance. Log feeds, sleeps and nappies with one tap or by voice, and see the whole day on a 24-hour clock.
For new parents, partners, grandparents and nannies looking after a baby, including at 3am with one hand free. Share it and everyone's phone stays in step.
No account. Free. Watch how it works (40 s). General information only, not medical advice.
Emergency? Call 000. Night mode hides the longer reference sections. Tap Night at the top to switch back.

Feeds, pumping and solids
Milk stash
How the "use by" times are worked out
Little Log counts from when the milk was expressed, using the general storage times for freshly expressed breast milk in Australian guidance: 6 to 8 hours at room temperature (26°C or cooler), 72 hours in the fridge (5°C or colder), 2 weeks in a freezer box inside the fridge, 3 months in a freezer with its own door, and 6 to 12 months in a deep freezer (-20°C or colder). Where the guide gives a range, Little Log counts down to the shorter time. Milk thawed in the fridge: use within 24 hours and don't refreeze it. Once milk is warmed or the baby has started drinking it, use it for that feed only.
These are general times. Check the latest advice from healthdirect: expressing and storing breast milk or the Australian Breastfeeding Association (www.breastfeeding.asn.au), and if in doubt, throw it out.
Pumping
Solids
Allergen introduction
This tracks when each common food allergen was first tried and how often, from your solids entries. For guidance on introducing allergens, see ASCIA at www.allergy.org.au or ask your child health nurse or GP.
If your baby has trouble breathing, swelling of the face or tongue, or becomes pale and floppy after eating, call 000. For other reactions, see your GP. More at www.allergy.org.au.

Naps, nights and patterns
Recent sleeps
Sleep over 14 days
7-day pattern
Each row is one day from midnight to midnight. Blue blocks are sleep, orange marks are feeds, and dots along the bottom are nappies. The lines mark 6am, midday and 6pm. Tap a day to see it on the ring on the Now screen.
Health records
Medicine, vaccinations and growth
Medicine
Little Log never suggests a dose. Enter the dose from the label or from your doctor's instructions. If you're unsure, ask a pharmacist.
Vaccination record
Ages from the National Immunisation Program schedule. Your state or territory may add extra vaccines. Check www.health.gov.au or ask your GP or child health nurse what's due.
Growth
This chart shows your baby's own measurements over time. It doesn't show WHO percentile curves. Your child health nurse can plot them on the growth charts in your baby's health record book. About the standards: www.who.int/tools/child-growth-standards.
Share with family
Everyone's phone, one log
Share the log with a partner, grandparent or nanny. Each person uses their own phone, and new entries show up on the others within seconds.
How sharing keeps the log private
- End-to-end encrypted. Each entry is locked with a secret key on your phone before it's sent. The server only stores scrambled data it can't read.
- The invite link is the key. The key sits in the part of the link after the # sign, which never reaches the server. Anyone with the link can read and add entries, so only send it to people you trust.
- No accounts. There's no sign-up, email or password.
- Works offline. Entries are saved on your phone first and sent when you're back online.
- Leaving is easy. Leave on this phone and you keep a copy of the log here. Others keep theirs.

Reports, records, settings and help
Patterns this week
Checking AI help…Worked out on this device from what you logged. It describes the log only, never health.
When AI help is on, this sends the last 3 days of feeds, sleeps and nappies for the selected baby (times, types, sides and amounts, without names) and returns a plain-words summary. It never gives medical advice. When AI help is off, you get the summary above, worked out on this device.
Doctor visit report
A clean summary for a GP or child health nurse visit: feeds a day, sleep, nappies, growth, medicine and more for the dates you pick.
Milestones
Journal
Words only, no photos. Good for the things you'll want to remember or ask about.
Reminders
Reminders only work while Little Log is open on this phone (on screen or in a browser tab in the background). They can't wake a closed app, so don't rely on them for medicine.
Settings
Night mode is a dim red display on black with bigger text, so the screen won't light up the room.
Many parents and nurses count the time between feeds from the start of one feed to the start of the next. Pick whichever matches how you've been asked to track it.
Backup
A backup is the whole log as text. Keep it somewhere safe, or paste it into another phone that isn't sharing with you.
How it works
Three steps you can do half asleep
Everything you need at 3am is on the Now screen. The buttons are big enough for a thumb while you hold the baby.
-
1Tap or say it
Feed starts a timer on the left, right or bottle. Sleep starts and stops with one tap. Nappy is wet, dirty or both. Or tap the mic and say "wet nappy".
-
2Glance, don't count
The top panel shows how long since the last feed, sleep and nappy. The ring shows the whole day around the clock.
-
3Share the load
Share with family and everyone sees the same log on their own phone. Or tap Handover to copy a quick text summary.
A walkthrough recorded from this app with the example baby: a timed feed, a voice log, the ring, the milk stash, sharing, a report and night mode.
Gentle guidance
What's commonly seen in newborns
General information only. Every baby is different, and patterns change from week to week. Your child health nurse or GP knows your baby best.
- Feeds are frequent
Newborns often feed around 8 to 12 times in 24 hours, day and night. Feeds can bunch together, especially in the evening.
- Wet nappies build up
From about day 5, many babies have 5 or more heavy wet nappies a day, often 6 to 8. Counting them is one simple way people keep track of feeding.
- Sleep comes in short stretches
Newborns usually sleep in short blocks spread across day and night. Many don't have a day and night rhythm yet. The "next nap" times in Little Log are a rough general guide, so watch your baby's own tired signs.
When to get help
If your baby is under 3 months and has a fever (a temperature above 38°C), healthdirect advises going to the nearest hospital emergency department straight away.
Contact your GP, your maternal or child health nurse, or healthdirect if you're worried, for example:
- fewer wet nappies than usual
- not feeding, or feeding much less than usual
- a fever in an older baby
- anything else that doesn't feel right to you
The free healthdirect helpline has registered nurses 24 hours a day: 1800 022 222. More at www.healthdirect.gov.au.
This is general information, not a diagnosis. Little Log can't tell whether your baby is well. If you're unsure, ask a health professional.
Your privacy
Where your data lives
- On this phone first. Every entry is saved in this browser's storage on this phone. There's no account.
- Only shared if you choose. If you share with family, entries are encrypted on your phone before they're sent, and the site's server stores only scrambled data it can't read. If you don't share, nothing about your log leaves this phone.
- AI help is optional. If AI help is on and you tap Ask about patterns, the last 3 days of feeds, sleeps and nappies for that baby (times, types, sides and amounts, no names) are sent to the AI to write a summary.
- Voice. The mic uses your browser's speech recognition. Some browsers send the audio to their own speech service to turn it into text. Little Log only keeps the words.
- Nothing else. No analytics, no trackers, no ads.
- Keep a copy. Clearing your browser data deletes the log on this phone. Make a backup, or share with family so another phone has it too.
Questions
FAQ
What happens if I close the app while a timer is running?
The timer keeps going. Little Log saves the moment you started, so when you come back it works out the time from that. If you share with family, the running timer shows on their phones too.
How fast do entries show up on my partner's phone?
Within a few seconds while both phones have Little Log open and are online. If a phone is offline, its entries are sent as soon as it's back online.
I forgot to start the timer. Can I fix it?
Yes. Tap any entry to change its start time, side, minutes or amount. To log something after the fact, use Add a past entry, or say "fed left 15 minutes".
What can I say to the mic?
Short phrases work best: "fed left 15 minutes", "bottle 120 ml formula", "wet nappy", "asleep", "woke up", "pumped 90 ml", "gave paracetamol 2.5 ml", "weighed 4.2 kg". Add "10 minutes ago" or "at 2:10am" for earlier times. You always check before it saves. The mic only appears in browsers that support speech recognition.
Does it work for twins?
Yes. Add each baby with their own name and colour. Tap a name to switch, and each baby keeps their own timers. Handover can include both.
Will reminders wake me up?
No. Reminders only work while Little Log is open. They can't wake a closed app, so set a phone alarm for anything that matters, like medicine.
Is this medical advice?
No. It's a log of what you record. The guidance, next-nap and milk storage times are general information. For anything about your baby's health, talk to your GP, your child health nurse or healthdirect. In an emergency, call 000.
Can I put it on my home screen?
Yes. In your browser menu, choose Add to Home Screen or Install app. It then opens like an app and works without internet once it has loaded.
